Vision Link in partnership with the Environment Agency have developed a rapid deployment camera system for monitoring critical situations and immediate events from remote locations 24/7.
Designed from the ground up to be easily deployed by field teams within seconds using quick release clamps that allow mounting to existing railings, temporary structures and fences etc. The system comprises of a remote high resolution (2048 x 1536) camera head and rugged waterproof GSM / battery pack.
Once powered up the camera system automatically connects to the best available GSM network (EE, O2, Vodafone, 3) then, using the integrated GPS, automatically locates its position and starts transmitting real time images to both the Vision Link Web Portal and Smartphone Applications.
This example shows a rapid deployment camera attached to an Environment Agency emergency pump deployed in recent flooding. The camera is being used to monitor a reinforced flood defence barrier protecting a local community.
This camera is monitoring the flood barrier from a different angle allowing staff to monitor and make operational decisions remotely.
